GOP state executives and legislators need your urgent support to lead the Republican resurgence in Illinois.
Going district-to-district, campaigning for Republicans and becoming involved in voter registration is the best way you can help support candidates at all levels of government — from the county courthouse to the U.S. Congress — the party is leading the charge to add to the 24 sitting GOP Governors currently serving our nation.
This is even more important this year because, after the completion of the 2010 Census, it is the governors and state legislators who will be redrawing the Congressional districts in each state. If the Democrats win a majority of the 37 Governorships and numerous state legislatures up for grabs this fall, they can gerrymander the districts to favor their liberal candidates and keep Republicans from winning Congressional majorities for the next decade or two.
You cannot allow that to happen!
To aid their candidates at the state and local level, Illinois Republicans need to reach out before Election Day and become involved in our Party’s all-important voter registration and get-out-the-vote efforts — as well as ensuring our candidates have the campaign resources only a unified Republican Party can bring to bear in races statewide.
Our conservative, principled Republican candidates for Governor and state legislature can only do so much to reach out to voters and build their campaign organizations. In the end, they count on the rank and file of the Republican Party and their ability to efficiently target voters and get them to the polls on Election Day.
The Party relies on grassroots leaders like you to get involved and help ensure the election of Republican majorities from the statehouses all the way to Congress.
